Scrambling on all fours, the Orcs are close. Their weapons rattle against the trees, successfully scaring me to death. Beaten, bruised, and covered in forrest debris I stumble they are upon me. Cries of victory force me into a ball to await the end. Thudding sounds silence the orcs. I dare not look. A hand pulls me up. "You are not Orc, man or woman?" I am struck dum. "We must leave, now!"
Pulling back the blind, we enter a modest dry cave. Balling up in a corner, I still shake uncontrollably. "I am Tauriel, a guardian. You will be fine. Please relax, so I can have a look. You are lucky the trees told me your fate." I look up in curiosity. "Yes they talk to me." Holding a large bowl of water she dampens a cloth. "Now let's see if you be man, or woman."
