(1+2)+4 = 1+(2+4) and put the answers in the pharanthisis at the end and first. and also copy the numbers outside the pharanthisis. so 3+4 = n and 1+6 = n. and if u put the sums together its: 3+4 = 7, 1+6 = 7. and its 7=7. so this is called associative property of addition.
