The alternate.

The alternate is a figure born out of haunted history and isolation. It has no gender and exists in a perpetual state of darkness, emerging only during the thickest of fogs. Its preference is to silently observe the living, drawn towards those who are most vulnerable or emotionally distressed. It has a special trait of being able to manipulate shadows, casting ominous figures that strike fear into the hearts of those who witness them. Relationships are irrelevant to The Overlooked Shadow, as its existence is solitary, yet it occasionally interacts with the living when its hungry, friends, and opponents are merely memories of the past, other entities trapped in the same realm, but none are as elusive and rarely seen as it is.
