The Arbiter

The Arbiter is a species of Sangheili Elites who was once a covenant commander that was disgraced after he let the Master Chief destroy the Forerunner halo ring. After The Arbiter was disgraced he became the will of the prophets and was assigned to suicidal missions to reclaim his honor. once he has secured fhe sacred icon the prophets of mercy and truth turned on the elites sending the brutes to kill them all. after the Great Journey the Arbiter became an ally for the UNSC instead of fighting against them. The Arbiter has now chosen missions set on innocent worlds and clense them from the covenant and the alien parisite flood.
