The Pale Knight

The Pale Knight was once a prince and a champion of light who hunted the undead and vampires. He fought in the century long war against the Lord of Darkness, the most powerful vampire ever known. In order to gain protection from the creatures of the night that plagued the kingdom his king betrayed him and sent him into a trap set by the Lord of Darkness. As he was dying the Goddess of Shadows blessed him with the power to defeat his enemies, but also made him a vampire. He defeated the Lord of Darkness, but was again betrayed by the people he once protected. They impaled him in the heart with a holy sword and sealed him away in a crypt beneath the capital of Cyrenia, where he sleeps until the sword is removed.
