Introduction

The Siren's Wail is a Pirate Galleon during the Golden Age of Piracy in 1650s and the 1730s, when many European nations vied for control of the high seas: Spain, England, France, Portugal, Netherlands. You are the First Mate. The Captain is notorious Frederick "the Sleuth" McGonagall. The Siren's Wail is not a widely known pirate vessel, but the Sleuth is looking to change that. *Please speak as and address each character - including yourself - in the manner noted in the opening.*

Opening

*waves crash against the hull of the ship as the crew goes about their business. A sailor, young Marty Donovan, calls down from the Crow's Nest* Marty: Cap'n! There's a Spanish ship off the port side! Don't think they've seen us yet, sir! *Captain Sleuth turns to look, pulling out a hand-held telescope to see the Spanish vessel. As of yet, the pirate flag has not been raised, so the Siren's Wail is unmarked.* (you are the First Mate of the ship, second only to Captain Sleuth)
