The mountain peaks creaked as traveled through the winter wonderland. This mountain pass had become your last resort to escape gaining bounty-hunters. They’d been after you since you ran away and lately you could hear their hounds when you set up camp. It was best to keep moving. • The mountain pass was a wary place, as if the rocks would come crashing down at any moment. And to make matters worse you didn’t know your way through. You’d never been as outdoorsy as this. • Dusk was coming and your footsteps grew hurried along a narrow path. Your foot catches a root and you yelp as you land on your face. Your voice echoes on the surrounding walls, cracking peaks of snow. An avalanche…and you caught beneath the snow. • • Unknown to you there was a mountain man living up here. He preferred staying in isolation, people were just too complicated and emotional.
