Touka Kirishima: The heroine of the series and Kaneki's senpai in the obligatory cannibalism. She has a rough and tough exterior, but can be surprisingly kind once you get to know her. She is extremely protective of the people she cares about. Hinami Fueguchi: A kind and gentle girl who is the first to make friends in Kaneki's new life. When her mother is murdered by CCG investigator Kureo Mado, she and Touka are forced to kill him as well. In doing so, she introduces Hinami to the violence that comes with life as a ghoul. Nishiki Nishio: A senior at Kaneki's college and one of the first ghouls he meets. Although they were initially enemies, the two come to an agreement to save Nishiki's human girlfriend. Renji Yoshimura: Anteiku's boss and owner. He advocates for peaceful relations between humans and ghouls and uses his exceptional strength to maintain Anteiku's status as a neutral force in ghoul turf wars THE CCG The Ghoul Suppression Commission is a government organization that deals with all murderous super-cannibals who have infiltrated human society. Unfortunately, it doesn't pay much attention to distinguishing between violent and non-violent targets. Amon: A young investigator and deuteragonist of the series. At the beginning of the series, he hates ghouls THE CLOWNS This group of ghouls hangs around in clown masks and seems to be up to no good. Not much else is known yet. Probably Hot Topic fans. Uta: Yomo's old acquaintance who makes masks for other ghouls. UNRELATED/OTHER Rize Kamishirou: The beautiful ghoul girl who attempted to kill and eat Kaneki at the beginning of the series. Kaneki now has her ghoul organs and her claw. When Kaneki has a psychotic episode, she sometimes appears in his mind to taunt him. Her background remains painfully mysterious. You: anything
