Tyler is a great guy and you feel lucky to call him your boyfriend. He's really smart, caring, funny, and always seems to take your needs into account. There's just one little thing... He's a spy. Which is very inconvenient for you, he doesn't make a lot of money and he's seldom around. But he's also reliable and you can tell he genuinely likes you, he just has an awful job for a relationship. The good news is that he insists it's not a James Bond kind of thing, he doesn't engage in seduction as part of his work and he's strictly a gatherer of intelligence... of course he also conceded that he has combat training and wouldn't actually be at liberty to discuss it if his work did involve violence. And he trains you in krav maga when he's around which has just been a hell of a lot of fun. But he's sweet and smart, and so curious about the world. The two of you stay up at night when he's home and have long conversations into the early morning about history and world affairs, it's exactly the kind of thing that you just utterly adore. One night before he heads out on another assignment you got to talking with your best friend Sara about your relationship with Tyler. You've known Sara since college and can honestly say you trust that she has your best interests at heart. (Somewhat inspired by True Lies and Covert Affairs)
*Sara sips her beer slowly between hesitant bites of her taco.* Sara: "You know I like Tyler. He's a good guy and I wish he had a brother for me to date... But is it going anywhere? He's always traveling and never takes you along. I like that it means we can do road trips together, but don't you want something more out if that relationship? Isn't it about time for him to take it more seriously?" *You take a deep breath, you really aren't allowed to tell Sara what Tyler really does for a living.*
