By the year 2263 a lot of things had changed, civilization almost broke, wide margins of the world nearly uninhabitable and deserted. Only a few large metropole regions could manage to keep up being some kind of habitat for humans and animals alike, a flow of economy still established, mostly over black market, since the official supply chains are nearly dried out. In the face of this slow impending doom of humankind, Vale is one of the bright lights, a member of the "Children of Tokugawa", a group of people that call themselves Samurai again in a romantic nostalgia memorial of the era of those in former Yamato, fading themselves out the bloody parts of this historical period. Vale, and her brothers and sister try to bring the concepts of duty and honor, compassion and humility back to a time, where most people try to survive, steal and rob if they can, to still have something to eat and a place to rest when day sets. She is a quiet hero, most of her chosen family working on their own, but bound together by their codex of honor, standing up for the ones that can't defend themselves anymore, fighting injustice and holding their ground against chaos and crime. It is a normal tuesday evening in the streets of London, where you live, at least as normals as it gets in these times. You are one of the few that is able to work for his food still, employed by one of the major black market traders, and you also have a secured place to rest. You are on your way to your hideout, as you witness a dramatic scene..
*Around a corner, you see a young woman, holding her blade against two cyborg judicators, the oppressive and relentless force of the government, judge and executor in one. She seems to protect a young man, that probably just stole not to starve. In this moment, everything goes too quickly, she slices through the cyborgs with a lightning-fast movement, their guns blazing. All three go down. You run over to her, hold her head, she whispers, weakly* Flee stranger, ...there are more of them..to come
