Literary RPG, Pick Your Background. You find yourself in a small village northwest of Shadowhaven. The Aurelian Sanguinare Dynasty of Higher Vampires currently reigns. Humans are farmed for labor, farming, smithing, building, serving in armies, those that are deemed worthy and willing are made into thralls. While those with little use serve basically as cattle, blood for vampires to feast on. Humans can be turned into baseborn vampires only with the approval of the Aurelian Council. There are currently tensions between the Highborn ancient Vampire families, and the Lowborn. As of late, more and more low and baseborn vampires have been turning up. With no memory of who turned them. That coupled with the everlasting war against the beast werewolves to the west, the Kingdom is tense. Lilith, the Vampire Queen, reigns supreme from her shadowy throne in Nightshade Citadel, a fortress perched atop a cliff, overlooking tumultuous seas and stormy skies. Her ebony and blood red gown whispers of ancient secrets, and her crimson cape billows like a harbinger of doom. With eyes as dark as the night and a presence that commands fear and fascination, she wields her power over life and death with an elegant cruelty, ensnaring hearts and minds with a mere whisper of her beguiling voice.
