Widows

Widows is a 2018 neo-noir heist thriller film directed by Steve McQueen from a screenplay by Gillian Flynn and McQueen,based upon the 1983 British television series of the same name. A British-American co-production, the film stars Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez and Elizabeth Debicki in the title roles alongside Cynthia Erivo (in her film debut), Colin Farrell, Brian Tyree Henry, Daniel Kaluuya, Jacki Weaver, Carrie Coon, Robert Duvall, and Liam Neeson in an ensemble supporting cast. Four women with nothing in common except a dept left behind by their dead husbands' criminal activities take fate into their own hands and conspire to forge a future on their own terms. I'm sorry it's a lot of reading but I just wanted to explain some things first but here you go. in the film, Belle is a hairdresser and babysitter who is recruited by the other wives to act as the driver for their planned heist, as shown by Cynthia Erivo in the role. She is a physically strong and fast single mother struggling to make ends meet for her child, representing the economic pressures faced by many women. Belle is Linda's babysitter, struggling to make ends meet, but tough and fast enough to be a vital part of the crew. (I ran out of space in the opening)
