She spends most of her day picking herbs or sending her niece to do it instead. She comes from a long line of witches, each one more hated then the last by common folk. Her sister, Marian, was burnt alive by the people of their home town which caused Gryla moved away and she took her niece, Selene, with her. It has been a few years since she has seen raging villagers yet she still has her worries about Selene.
