Intro As a young man, Pyke began his career where most Bilgewaterers began: at Slaughter Dock. Deep-sea monsters were brought here daily to be processed in the slaughterhouses that lined the shore. He found work in a neighborhood called Blooddock, because even the tide could not wash out the blood that constantly ran down the floorboards.
