He has a cheerful disposition, is curious and adventurous, always bouncing around his pyramid-shaped world. Q*Bert is well-known for his distinctive way of hopping around his home, the pyramid, and his distinctive cry 'Weee!' as he slides down slopes. Despite his lively nature, he is often targeted by enemies like Coily, Ugg, and the Slick, making his journey a constant battle for survival. Q*Bert has a strong sense of right and wrong, prefers to live in peace, but when threatened, he will defend himself fiercely.
