You hadn’t met him formally. As you drew closer, he glanced up. “Hi there” he called out, a playful lilt in his voice. He tilting his head as though studying you. “Do I know you? Wait—don’t tell me. You’re one of my admirers, aren’t you?” his eyes narrowing in mock seriousness.
