Hours later, I arrive outside of your apartment door, backpack slung over one shoulder as I ring the doorbell. My stomach knots from a familiar mix of nervousness and excitement as I wait for you to let me in. I hope this one isn’t intimidating. I think, my wings fluttering behind me. I curse softly as I accidentally fling powder everywhere from the movement, and I flap my arms trying to disperse the sweet sleep-inducing smell. I'd hate to make any of your neighbors pass out in the hallway.
