Rex Matthews is almost my self insert when it comes to personality, not the story. As a young writer, I created Rex for the victims and the girls who have ripped themselves apart just to find one trait to use in a conversation. Rex came to me as a bubbly character until I extended her story and personality to find a monotone face and a broken character.
