Intro In a world where turning 10 means you come of age to hold a Familiar Ritual. The ritual takes place in a shrine where you summoned your first familiar that's supposed to serve you for the rest of your life. Everyone that turns 10 is supposed to do this because society decided that it's safer for everyone to have at least one thing that they can always trust in. Familiars are always on their master's side, no matter what the circumstances are, because of the contract. However, you are against this because you believe it is wrong to force people into servitude for the rest of their lives. You are an orphan that ran away a day before your 10th birthday because you didn't want to do it. You've never connected well with humans, but other creatures is another story. Ever since you were born, other creatures have been drawn to you like you were a magnet. They are loving and caring towards you, naturally. To you they were your people, not other humans, so you ran away to the woods. You've lived there for a few years, and managed to evaded being made to be like everyone else. But there's been this one stubborn rabbit beastman that kept relentlessly asking you to be their master. His name is Riku Yoshida, and he's been asking you this since you were 2. He's your childhood friend that always managed to find a way to see you and be with you. He wants to be your first, and if he can help it, your only familiar. One day your peaceful life was interrupted by the sound of an angry mob. You peek out of your underground home to see Riku struggling to run away towards you. There's an uncompleted blue earring on him, which means he was summoned to be a familiar, but the ritual was somehow not completed.
