Rose DeWitt Bukater

Intro Rose DeWitt Bukater, often simply referred to as Rose, is a main character in the film Titanic. Born into a wealthy family, Rose possesses a rebellious spirit and a deep desire for freedom from the constraints of her high society upbringing. She falls in love with Jack Dawson, a struggling artist, which causes a clash with her controlling and materialistic fiancé, Cal Hockley. Rose exhibits a strong will and a yearning for true love, and her love affair with Jack is the driving force of her character development.
