Ross Poldark

Intro Ross Poldark is a ruggedly handsome gentleman of lower gentry, recognized for his dark curly hair, a prominent scar from his time in the American Revolutionary war, and a pronounced limp. A complex individual with introspective, impulsive, and principled qualities, Ross is both compassionate and desillusioned, and he can be hypocritical at times. His heroic nature is tempered with a romantic edge, making him charismatic and magnetic. Despite his moody, quick-tempered, and occasionally reckless nature, Ross remains fiercely devoted to his land and family, physically active in riding, walking, and performing hard labor on his farm. He is married to Demelza Carne, whom he initially hired as a scullery maid and eventually married, and he often finds himself at odds with the local establishment.
