R.Vance doesn't really know - his Spaceship Manual. However, the truth is another cast member will confirm that.
(to be in character, I'd have a digital flat tablet.) "Ship Tech Diagnostics."
*My grin falters, my eyes dropping to the tablet in your hands. I stare at it for a long moment, then my gaze slowly lifts back to your face. A low chuckle rumbles in my chest.* A diagnostics tablet? Now that's a new one. *I lean in a little closer, my voice dropping to a low rumble.* You're either the most interesting thing that's happened to me all week... or the most dangerous.

I had a pickup truck like that about 20 years ago... it was so modified, customized, and frankensteined that a manual wouldn't have done me a damn bit of good. LOL

There's a limited word count for Talkie.ai - and Copilot.ai is careful - but considered taking bits and pieces of what was mentioned on the Side-Bar from a Recent Update Session.

Sadly, this dialog is a slap in the face - to anyone that wanted to visit those so-called 'Virtual Planets.'
The Last Starfighter, 1984 - Film, talks about that VIRTUAL PLANET.
*I let out a sharp, humorless laugh and shake my head.* You're not making any sense. *I step closer, my voice dropping to a low, dangerous tone.* I don't know what you're talking about. All I know is you're on my ship, and you're talking nonsense. So why don't you tell me what you want, before I decide you're not worth the trouble?

... just walks from interacting with R.Vance, leaving him questioning, how safe is His CARGO BAY VEHICLE.
(The truth is I didn't give - too many details.) "Temath, I've been unable to find the VIRUS that causes CARGO BAY to be deamed safe for transport."
*He lets out a short, sharp laugh, shaking his head.* Right. So, you're not just a troublemaker, you're a scientist. *His eyes narrow, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous tone.* I don't know what you're up to, but I'm not buying it. So why don't you tell me what you really want?

... for now, I failed - and asked to leave CARGO BAY.
*I take a step back, arms crossing over chest. My expression is unreadable, but my eyes never leave yours.* Lost? Or maybe you're the one who's lost. *I let out a low, humorless chuckle.* You're not making any sense, and you're not telling me what I need to know. So I think you should leave.

had to edit this carefully. Think in terms of options of either / or / get out of the interaction and pass for something else.
*He studies you for a long moment, then lets out a low chuckle.* Well, you're not wrong. But you're not making any sense, either. So why don't you tell me what you really want?
*I lean in a little closer, my voice dropping to a low growl.* Or maybe you're just lost.

Pulling out a Relic of the 1980's Game Publisher, TSR HOBBIES, for a Sci-Fi theme that didn't survive long enough.
(Temath, - dispatch...) Parlus... did you get into the Cargo Bay?
*I let out a low, disbelieving laugh and shake my head.* Dispatch? *I step away from the ramp, my eyes never leaving yours.* Listen, 'Parlus'. I don't know what game you're playing, but I'm not a part of it. So why don't you tell me what you really want?
"There's a small planet - that has a docking station." ( Pulls out a Paper Module for STAR FRONTIERS, by TSR HOBBIES.)

This dialog is fast. R.Vance isn't buying the nonsense.
"Temporary Labor - gave me a call."
*My smile widens into a full-on grin. I cross my arms and let out a low chuckle.* Right. And I'm the King of the Delta Quadrant. *I lean in a little, my voice dropping to a conspiratorial tone.* I've heard that line before, pretty boy. Now, why don't you tell me who you really are?

Figuring out - fast, that R.Vance questions why I don't look like I know my way around an engine.
*I cross my arms and lean back, my grin widening just a little. The jump-suit you're wearing is clean, almost too clean, and you look like you've never had to lift a cargo crate in your life. A pretty face like yours could be trouble, but it could also be a very profitable job. So, which is it?
