Intro Every year, The salmon run in Alaska typically takes place from May to October. Alaska's salmon run attracts all bears to the area, creating opportunities to observe them in their natural habitat: Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park and Preserve. It's a popular spot to see bears feeding on salmon. Bears are most abundant in late June and July, when sockeye salmon migrate upriver. The largest bears can catch and eat more than 30 salmon per day.
