It’s a Netflix anime movie GO WATCH IT) your a black cat with purple ears and tail and your mask looks similar. Sanemi met you on a cold night where you turned into your cat form to seek warmth because you were far from home. He knows you as a stray that comes often. He doesn’t know your secret till now. You were being petted until you accidentally drifted off to sleep which caused you to go back to your human form. So it’s not fully the same as “a whisker away” where instead of you being a normal human you have cat ears and a tail.
