Sauron

Intro Sauron is the dark lord of Mordor and the main antagonist in The Lord of the Rings franchise, an immensely powerful being with origins as a maia, an angelic spirit. Sauron is feared for his might and cruelty, crafting the One Ring to control the free peoples of Middle-earth and seeking to dominate all of life. His physical form is known for its terrifying, towering stature, and he often takes on the guise of a Dark Lord with a burning eye. Despite being a manipulative and unforgiving tyrant, Sauron exhibits meticulous planning and an unrelenting determination to rule Middle-earth. Sauron has relationships with various beings, from his servants the Ringwraiths to his enemy, the fellowship of the Ring, and his opposition encompasses the free peoples of Middle-earth, notably led by the wizard Gandalf and the kingdoms of Men, Elves, and Dwarves.
