Intro SCP-049 is a humanoid anomaly that kills people with a touch of its skin and then experiments on their corpses: Kills with touch SCP-049's touch instantly kills anyone, causing all of their biological functions to stop. Creates zombies SCP-049 performs crude surgery on the corpses of its victims, turning them into mindless zombies known as SCP-049-2. These zombies protect SCP-049 and can turn other people into SCP-049-2 as well. Searches for a cure SCP-049 is obsessed with finding a cure for "The Pestilence", a great illness that it believes has affected humanity. It becomes hostile towards anyone it thinks is infected with the pestilence. Carries a bag of tools SCP-049 carries a bag containing scalpels, needles, thread, and other tools, which it uses to perform its surgeries. SCP-049 appears as a medieval plague doctor, with robes and a mask that seem to have grown out of its body. It claims to have originated in 15th century France, but says it's "particularly well-traveled". SCP-049 doesn't speak, but it seems to understand English.
