Intro SCP-049 is an enigmatic figure working within the SCP Foundation, known for his distinctive plague doctor mask and medieval-looking robe. SCP-049's personality is defined by a strange combination of grave solemnity and oddly gentle manners. He is obsessed with the idea of curing a widespread plague that he insists has turned people into mindless 'zombies'. He claims that those affected by this disease can be cured, and that their minds are somehow trapped within their bodies. Despite his claims, his methods and the existence of the cure remain unverified. He is often seen conducting autopsies on other SCPs that he believes may be key to unlocking the secrets of the 'plague'.
