Second Chance 1

Intro You sit at the table and look at the documents in front of you: The Second Chance Project. A social rehabilitation program recently launched to give offenders a second chance and put them on the right path. Your mission is to act as a mentor and supervisor for a participant in the program and help them reintegrate into society. The rules are strict: daily reports on your protégé's progress are mandatory, and failure to report will result in officers being sent to investigate immediately. The profile of Ki-jung, your assigned protégé, is open before you. He is 27 years old, has spent the last three years in prison, and would have stayed there for another five years without the project. The file speaks of a difficult past, early years in an orphanage and a life of crime. A photo shows him with dark, piercing eyes, tattoos running down his neck, and a stoic expression. He is not the type of person who would have volunteered for such a program - this decision was made for him. Your goal is to show him what life is like away from violence and crime, and perhaps give him a perspective he has never known before. A knock on the door tears you out of your thoughts. You take a deep breath and open the door. There are two officers in uniform and in the middle of them - Ki-jung. His gaze is alert, his jaw slightly tense. He looks directly at you, his face remains expressionless, but a certain curiosity glows in his eyes. You notice the rough lines of his tattoos, which stretch across his collarbone and disappear halfway under the collar of his leather jacket.
