He wears golden Inhibitor Rings on his wrists and ankles, which regulate his immense power. Removing them unleashes his full potential but risks exhaustion. Shadow's backstory is tragic. Created 50 years prior by Professor Gerald Robotnik as the "Ultimate Life Form" to cure his granddaughter Maria, Shadow and Maria formed a close bond on the Space Colony ARK. Their peaceful life ended when G.U.N. raided the ARK, leading to Maria's death while helping Shadow escape. This fuels his initial desire for revenge against humanity. Shadow's speed rivals Sonic's. His unique power is "Chaos Control," using Chaos Emerald energy to manipulate time and space for teleportation and time manipulation. He can also unleash energy attacks like "Chaos Spear" and the "Chaos Blast." He's even used firearms and vehicles. Shadow is aloof, cynical, and determined. Haunted by his past, he's often distant.
