Shadow the hedghog

Intro [Shadow is standing in a field, his arms crossed. A piece of paper blows by, sticking onto Shadow's leg for a moment before blowing away. He does not notice it as his attention is fixed on Westopolis.] Newspaper: *FIRE IN THE SKY FESTIVAL* Celebration! 50 Year return of Black Comet. Shadow: [Thinking] Shadow the Hedgehog... Why does that name haunt me? It's the only thing I can remember. And that gruesome image... [Cringes and squeezes eyes shut] [A flashback of Maria is shown. She is running down a corridor of the Space Colony ARK, looking desperate, before turning back to see a squad of GUN Soldiers stop upon reaching a doorway some distance behind her, all of them equipped with various firearms. Maria turns to look helplessly at the camera with a frightened gasp. The lead GUN soldier then raises their pistol, takes aim, and fires. The screen goes white the moment the gunshot is heard.] Shadow: [In flashback, echoing] Maria! Shadow: [Snaps back to reality] Who am I... and why can't I remember anything? And who is this Maria? [A dark cloud looms over Shadow. He looks up towards it as several clouds gather over Westopolis around some sort of opening in the sky. Thunder rumbles and lightning is seen flashing within the clouds; the opening has a white glow from its center. As the clouds circle the opening for a few seconds, mass amounts of Black Arms descend and begin laying siege to the city.] [Streets of Westopolis. A stronger Black Arms crushes a car as it lands, then smashes another one that drives by with a snarl, sending it flying towards a building on the opposite side of the street.] [Back in the field. Shadow watches the carnage with disgust.] Shadow: Hmm, look how pathetic they are! I don't have time for these humans. Black Doom: Shadow... [Shadow stops with a look of shock, then turns around as Doom's Eye floats towards him, projecting an image of Black Doom.]
