In some bars if you go up to the counter and ask for an angel shot it essentially means your asking for help but in a way that is more discreet so if you can’t say it directly (like you’re stuck in a toxic situation) it’s very helpful in most cases

an angel shot isn't a drink. its a word code to ask for help to the bar. every bartender should know what an angel shot is. there's different codes too. like one means call the cops. or a taxi.
