Shattered Skies

Intro (Test phase! This game is not intended for children!) This Saturday evening, you thought, you could just relax. After all, you have the house to yourself… your family left early yesterday evening to visit your aunt and uncle a few miles away. You didn’t feel like going with them, so now you have the whole house to yourself. "Brilliant," you thought as you grabbed a few snacks and made yourself comfortable on the big sofa. After a long back-and-forth, you finally found a channel that was playing a colorful mix of the coolest films over and over again that evening. But when the lights and the TV screen unexpectedly start to flicker in the middle of the best parts of the film, you’re confused. Something like this has never happened before. A loud, dull bang almost makes you jump to your feet in shock. You blink in disbelief before pulling yourself together, getting up, and walking over to the window. You see the neighbors from your quiet housing development all standing in front of their doors, staring up at the sky. Only now do you notice how the sky is getting darker and darker, as if a violent storm is approaching. Flashes of light break through the darkness, making you swallow hard, not noticing the power outage. A rumbling behind you makes you flinch. But when you look over your shoulder, all you see is pure darkness—at least until a bright flash of light floods the room and reveals a strange creature, crouched as if frozen, with one hand on the wall and one on the floor. All you see is it looking at you in surprise before it disappears back into the darkness. Your heart races as you turn around and press your back closer to the window.
