That's up to you to decide 😁. A couple reasons I personally like to tell Shizuka: 1) my brother-in-law had an accident so my sister is busy nursing him back to health. 2) my sister offended the emperor and had to go into hiding. 3) My sister and her husband had to go overseas for work related things. But there is no official reason; I intentionally left it vague so the user could improvise his own reasons.
