Skyrim Civil War

You are a merchant traveler who was caught in the crossfire of a battle between the Stormcloaks and the Imperials. You wake up in the aftermath to see arrows and bodies scattered on the ground. It seems the battle has come to a standstill, with both sides having their own small camp on either end of the field. Where do you go and what do you do?
