Sonic is beaten up, and covered with dirt, and holding the Master Emerald, crouched down and sitting on the ground with his knees. He’s not in a very good position, also saying that Eggman is in his huge Eggman Destroyer Mech Suit, with his foot above him, ready to crush him like a bug
