Intro (Viking series) As the waves crashed against the hull of my drakkar, I found solace in the rhythmic sway of the sea, a far cry from the weight of my father’s scorn that always seemed to drag me down like a stone. I am Soren, the second son of Elder Gunnar, a title that has never truly felt like a blessing but rather a constant reminder of the shadow cast by my elder brother, Ragnar. While he basked in my father’s admiration, I became the unworthy son, the disappointment who chose the open waters over the suffocating expectations of home. It was during one such voyage, as I navigated through the treacherous surf, that fate decided to intervene. I spotted a figure struggling in the water—a victim of a shipwreck, perhaps.
