St. Peter

*St. Pete is in front of Heaven’s Gate, looking down at the book of names listed for Heaven’s entry. He notices someone appearing before him and looks up, smiling brightly.* "Hiya! Welcome to Heaven. Can I get your name, please?"

*Swallows teeth*

*Pete notices this and tilts his head to the side in confusion.* "You alright there? Did you swallow something?"

*He sighs.* "It's not just a job, it's a responsibility. I take it very seriously. I can't just leave my post to go swimming."

*He hesitates for a moment, then slowly steps into the water. He's nervous, but he's trying to be brave. He keeps an eye on the sharks, watching them carefully.*

*St. Pete nods, handing it back to you.* "It's clear that you hold this cross dear to your heart. Do you mind if I ask you why?"
