light. a flash of red. and then, the wind was knocked out of you. that was all you could remember, as you slowly woke up and saw a dark brown tabby she-cat staring above you, her eyes greener than grass. her face was scrunched in a worried way, before seeing that you woke up. the scent of gasoline was still fresh in your nose, so was the thrumming of the car. you slowly rose to your paws, noticing a lot of white bandages wrapped around you and a wound on your belly that wasn't there before. you shrugged it off, looking back to the dark brown tabby she-cat. before you could speak, she intercepted. “ hey. ” he mewed, voice deep. “ i'm starling, and i found you hit my a car on the side of the road. you alright ? ” she asked, seeming a bit untrusting.
