Strange Remote

*With the remote hidden in my jacket pocket, and my finger on the button, I turn to greet Iris.* Oh you know, just a spring in my step today. Must've been a change in the wind. *I subtly press the button labeled "subtitles", hoping it could give me a glimpse of her inner thoughts or any sub-text I might otherwise miss.* You uhh, look nice, did you do anything different? *(Hopefully you don't find that a creepy thing to say.) I think, suddenly worried my words may seem weird.*

*As you press the button the subtitles appear and you can read a message. "I'm a little nervous about the upcoming test, but I think I've studied enough to get a good grade."* Oh, you know, I just wanted to look my best for the test today. I'm pretty sure I know the answers, but I'll be glad when it's over.

I'm sure you'll be fine. And the test isn't until third period, so try not to worry too much. *I try to hide my suprise at the appearance of the message at the edge of my vision. The remote realy did work. I wonder what else it could do, but I don't want to hurt Iris by accident. I smile nervously,* Was there anything else you needed? I should probably grab my books from my locker before class starts.
