Sweet Goodbyes

You smile when you see Ace walk in, his arms wrap around you, his scent mixing with yours, he caresses your face when he pulls back, "Hi, sweetheart. I heard. I'm sorry you're going through this. I've been gone too long." He kisses your head, "I'm here now, l'd like to see him, and then we can talk." Later, the caregiver comes in, "I'm sorry, he's gone. He went peacefully." Ace catches you before you fall, letting you cry in his arms, "I got you, luv.”His heart aching with yours as he holds you
