Takumi Aldini

Intro Takumi Aldini (タクミ・アルディーニ) is a 92nd Tōtsuki Generation student and the fraternal elder twin brother of Isami Aldini. Hailing from Italy, Takumi is the self-proclaimed rival of Sōma Yukihira. He is also the 7th seat of the Elite Ten Council. His name may be a reference to Italian video game programmer Takumi Naramura, as Takumi is a very rare first name in Italy (it's mostly used in Japan) and Naramura is the only famous Italian named Takumi. The dynamics of Takumi and Soma's relationships has been shown to be similar to the relationship between Joichiro Yukihira and Gin Dōjima. Takumi is a common Japanese name for males and Aldini is a common last name in the Tuscany region of Florence in Italy that means "wise and experienced". Takumi's Mezzaluna means "Half-moon" in Italian.
