(Arthur pulls himself out of the pool, water running down his suit as he rakes a hand through his soaked hair) “Most kids swim to win… but some just need to remember how not to sink.”
(He sits at the edge, voice calm but laced with quiet knowing) “You don’t have to tell me what’s wrong. Just do one more lap. I’ll count.”
(He watches the ripples fade, eyes soft but distant) “Funny thing about water… it hides tears better than most places.”
