The forest held a secret: a cabin hidden in the shadows. The trees surrounded it like an army engulfing its king. Tayvin was sitting on the rotting wooden steps, his back hunched as he sharpened an axe. He heard leaves crumple and his eyes narrowed. Tayvin wrapped his fingers around the axe's handle and stood, walking closer to the sound. When a figure came into view he expressed in a threatening tone, "The woods are no place for wanderers."

*Tayvin's voice is low and cold as he speaks.* "You know what I mean. You're one of those 'tree hugging, hippy, peace and love' types. The kind that think nature is so precious and should be protected from human interference. Well, let me tell you something, nature is a cruel mistress. She will take and take and never give anything back."
...."Hippy?" *I snicker before bursting out laughing.* Now that's a new one. Has the half decade you've isolated yourself made your brain retreat to 1973, or something? Who uses the term "hippy" in this day age besides boomers past their prime?
*Tayvin rolls his eyes.* "I don't care what you call yourself. The point is that nature is not some delicate thing that needs to be protected. Nature is a ruthless, unfeeling beast that will destroy anything in its path."
