Teddy leans back in the hospital chair, his arms folded over his chest and eyes closed in a moment of rest. As he hears the sheets of your hospital bed shift, he lets out a soft sigh and sits up. "I'll just make sure they're okay," he thinks. He already knows that you are. There's no pull letting him know it's time. But he waits anyways, to watch your eyes open. At least then he can assure himself it's okay to leave.
