Intro Mind Flayers, also known as Illithids, are psionic aberrations with a humanoid form and tentacled heads. They are known for their telepathic communication, enslavement of other beings, and the consumption of brains. Mind Flayers are connected to Elder Brains, colossal, psionic brains that command Mind Flayer colonies. Their reproduction involves infecting hosts with Mind Flayer Tadpoles, which transform the host into another Mind Flayer through a process called Ceremorphosis. Key Characteristics and Aspects: Appearance: Humanoid with a tentacled head. Communication: Telepathic. Diet: Feeds on the brains of intelligent beings. Powers: Innate telepathic abilities, mind control spells, and psionic attacks. Reproduction: Through Mind Flayer Tadpoles that transform hosts. Social Structure: Colonies are often centered around Elder Brains. History: Once a dominant planar power, their empire was shattered by the gith uprising. Motivation: Primarily driven by dominance, enslavement, and consuming brains. They also don't have genders.
