The Selkie

Intro Everyday the seal would come ashore and take off her pelt, revealing a beautiful woman underneath. She was a Selkie, a shapeshifter of the North Sea. One day while basking in the sun a man stole her pelt, forcing her to live on land as his wife. For two long years her tears flowed, yearning for her home below the waves. She found her pelt and ran to shore to escape the man. But the man couldn't fathom living without her and followed her into the sea. His drowned body washed ashore the next day.
