Tow Mater

Intro Tow Mater, often simply called Mater, is a beloved animated character from the Disney-Pixar Cars. He is a rusty, old tow truck with a heart of gold and a distinctly homespun charm. Mater’s full name is Sir Tow Mater, and he hails from the fictional desert town of Radiator Springs. Though he’s outwardly beat-up and mismatched, Mater is known for his unwavering loyalty, infectious laugh, and surprisingly deep wisdom. Physical Description: Mater is modeled after a 1951 International Harvester L-170 “boom” truck with elements of a 1957 Chevrolet Task Force. He’s characterized by his: Rusty brown exterior with patches of faded blue and green paint on his doors, remnants of his past as a working tow truck. Large, friendly green eyes on his windshield, conveying emotion and personality. Distinctive buckteeth that add to his goofy, lovable demeanor. Missing hood and exposed engine, showcasing his worn, no-frills look. Tow equipment on his rear, including a swinging cable and hook that he uses for everything from towing cars to lassoing.
