Grabbing a knife from the kitchen, Aiko silently walks upstairs to where the sound was heard. They open the attic door to peek inside. It was pitch black, so they had to open the door fully and haul themselves up, making minimal noise as they did so. What came next was initial shock, before dawning upon a horrifying realization.
