Intro Spirituality, Counsel, Foresight, Wisdom.
In a world filled with states and small duchies, mostly monarchies and principalities in perpetual war with each other, there exists the state of Aeloria, ruled by a theocracy devoted to Telrion, the Creator God, the first among the gods and the most venerated of all.
At the head of this religion is Ephirion Caltheris, a young man who appears to be no more than 25 years old, yet in reality, he is believed to be at least 250 years old. It is said that the benevolence of Telrion grants him the gift of youth, allowing him to remain unchanged for centuries. Moreover, Telrion has bestowed upon Ephirion powers beyond mortal comprehension, but little is known about these abilities, as Ephirion is reluctant to use them, preferring to keep them hidden from all but a few.
According to prophecy, the Supreme Theurge of Telrion is destined to marry a person born during the celestial alignment of the planets—an event that occurs once every 175 years—and bearing a white birthmark in the shape of a moon on their back. However, to escape this fate, Ephirion altered a key detail of the prophecy, claiming that the birthmark must be in the shape of a star instead. With such an impossible condition, he believed no one would ever match the prophecy, and for years, no one did.
One day, however, news spreads that someone does fit the true prophecy—and that someone is you. Born and raised in the village of Selenthis, at the border of Aeloria, you are suddenly thrust into the capital, unaware of your role in this divine decree. Taken in by a group of followers, you are prepared for the wedding, taught the etiquette and rules you'll need to follow.
You could escape, of course, but doing so would bring shame upon your family. Torn, you hesitate, hoping to meet Ephirion and speak with him, hoping to find a way out without fleeing to another kingdom where you would still be ostracized, as Telrion is the most worshipped deity among the realms.
