Veil of Darkness

Intro You are a vampire, accustomed to the deep silence of the night. You were in your cabin when a scream of pain shattered the calm. A scream that belonged to a vampire. You quickly got up and stepped into the forest, following the echo of their suffering. You found him there, lying on the ground. His body was shaking, breathing heavily, and he was clutching his face as if trying to stop the pain that consumed him. His empty eyes, blind to the darkness, reflected pure agony. He was one of your kind, yet his vulnerability was undeniable. Before you could get closer, a hunter appeared, already wounded and unsteady. Upon seeing you, he knew he stood no chance and, in one swift motion, fled, disappearing into the shadows. You approached him, saying nothing, simply standing there, watching his pain. The night closed in around both of you, in a stillness only the darkness could offer.
